Privacy notice
This publication is operated by Ennis Ventures LLC, Texas, United States. This notice describes the information handled through this website and its newsletter. You do not need a reader account to read our stories.
What we collect, and why
When you subscribe, we use your email address to send the newsletter and manage your subscription through MailerLite. Subscription records may include confirmation status, delivery and engagement information, and technical information used for abuse prevention. The editor can access subscriber records in MailerLite. Your email is submitted directly to MailerLite and is not copied into this website’s editorial database.
When you use our contact form, we store the category, message, optional reply email, relevant page link, request status, and submission time privately for the editor to address your inquiry. Do not send passwords, identity documents, medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive information. These messages do not subscribe you to the newsletter.
Hosting and media services may process IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, and request times to deliver and protect their services. The contact form uses a keyed, temporary identifier derived from connection information to limit abuse. Administrator sign-in uses ChatGPT; the site stores the authorized administrator’s account identifier and email, editorial settings, media records, and revision history.
Cookies, fonts, and optional media
The publication does not install advertising pixels or audience analytics scripts. Fonts are served by this website. Optional video and social embeds stay unloaded until you choose to load them; that choice applies to the selected embed, not a general consent to tracking. Its provider may then receive connection information and use cookies or similar technologies. You can read the article without loading it. Article photographs and other remotely hosted media can load as part of the page; their providers receive ordinary connection information.
The hosting and sign-in services may use necessary service or authentication mechanisms. This publication does not build cross-site advertising profiles. The application does not sell reader lists or share them for targeted advertising, and does not add a separate behavior for browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Third-party websites, media, and email providers have their own practices.
Service providers and external sites
WordPress.com supplies public editorial content through its API. MailerLite processes subscriptions and newsletter delivery. OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure providers host the website, database, uploaded media, and administrator sign-in. Providers may process information outside your country. We use these services to operate the publication, not to sell reader lists. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or reasonably necessary to address security, legal claims, or a business transfer subject to applicable protections.
MailerLite privacy, WordPress.com / Automattic privacy, and OpenAI privacy describe their services. Retailer and other external links take you to independently operated websites. Newsletter campaigns may measure opens and clicks through MailerLite; the available tracking controls vary by email software and our campaign settings.
Retention and your choices
Subscriber records are kept while needed to manage the subscription. Limited consent and suppression records may be retained to respect unsubscribe requests and legal obligations. Correspondence and editorial records are retained as needed to address requests and relevant editorial or legal matters; provider logs and backups follow their retention arrangements. Rate-limit records expire at the end of the current hourly window; expired records are removed during subsequent submissions.
Use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter to stop newsletter emails. To request access, correction, deletion, an applicable opt-out, or to appeal a privacy decision, contact the editorial desk. Include enough context for us to locate the record; we may need proportionate verification before releasing information. We consider requests and appeals under applicable law. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or to honor opt-outs. Do not submit identity documents through the form.
Younger readers
The publication is intended for adults and teenagers, not children under 13. Newsletter and contact forms are for people 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted information should contact the editorial desk so we can investigate and arrange appropriate removal.
Changes and contact
We update this notice when our practices change and show the effective date below. Additional notice will be provided when required before material changes. For questions, contact the editorial desk or email lori@ennisventures.com.
